Worldwide Candle Lighting: Sunday December 13, 2020 - ONLINE VIA ZOOM

Held annually on the second Sunday in December, The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting® unites family and friends around the globe as they light candles for one hour to honor and remember children who have died at any age from any cause. As candles are lit at 7 p.m. local time, creating a virtual wave of light, hundreds of thousands of people commemorate and honor children in a way that transcends all ethnic, cultural, religious, and political boundaries.

Annual Summer BBQ CANCELLED INDEFINITELY DUE TO PANDEMIC
At some point in the hoped-for future, the Santa Cruz Chapter of the Compassionate Friends will once again host our annual Anniversary Potluck Barbeque. This provides a chance for us to get together with each other, family and friends, in a relaxed and beautiful environment. Young children welcome! The event is held at Delaveaga Park in Santa Cruz - Forty Thieves Picnic Area in the George Washington Grove on Branciforte Drive (pass the main park entrance and continue another 0.3mi). Please bring a dish to share if you are able (labeling ingredients is always appreciated); beer and wine are also permitted. We will provide some grilled protein options, as well as plates, cutlery, napkins, cups, and some juice and water... plus a croquet set!
