Worldwide Candle Lighting: Sunday December 9, 2018

Held annually on the second Sunday in December, The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting® unites family and friends around the globe as they light candles for one hour to honor and remember children who have died at any age from any cause. As candles are lit at 7 p.m. local time, creating a virtual wave of light, hundreds of thousands of people commemorate and honor children in a way that transcends all ethnic, cultural, religious, and political boundaries.

Annual Summer BBQ Picnic

On Saturday, June 22, 2019, from 3:00-6:00, the Santa Cruz Chapter of the Compassionate Friends is hosting their 7th annual Anniversary Potluck Barbeque. This provides a chance for us to get together with each other, family and friends, in a relaxed and beautiful environment. The event is held at Delaveaga Park in Santa Cruz - Forty Thieves Picnic Area in the George Washington Grove on Branciforte Drive. We'll have the big grill hot. Please bring a dish to share (labeling ingredients is always appreciated) and something to put on the grill if you wish. We will provide plates, cutlery, napkins, cups, and some juice and water.
